Background

We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Designer for a project focused on the development and maintenance of distribution equipment.

The assignment is with a global industry leader where you will be part of a cross-functional Scrum team alongside automation engineers, test engineers, and other mechanical designers.

Responsibilities

As a Junior Mechanical Designer, you will contribute effective mechanical solutions for the development of dynamic functions. You will work on continuous improvements and new development of distribution equipment such as carton packers and film wrappers.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Design and calculation of functions in the equipment according to specifications.
• Testing of designed functions, both physically and virtually.
• Estimation of development work including effort, costs, and risks.
• Assisting in the assembly of functions.
• Troubleshooting internal issues and potentially at the customer site.
• Collaborating with mechanical designers and supplier managers to effectively manage orders and documentation in a CAD environment.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• Experience with the CAD tool Creo.
• Interest and experience in design, documentation, and verification of dynamic mechanical functions.
• The ability to drive activities and tasks from start to finish.
• Good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team.
• Experience with CAD simulations is a plus.
