ABOUT THE POSITION

We are now looking for an automation engineer with a focus on industrial automation for our client AFRY. In this role, you will travel between various client assignments, primarily in Skåne, but projects in Norway and Denmark may also occur. Therefore, we are looking for someone who appreciates variety, finds it easy to collaborate with new people, and is driven to solve technical challenges.

You will work within the Food & Pharma segment, focusing on projects within Life Science. The role is both exciting and varied, as you will be involved in several different phases of AFRY's project commitments. Your tasks may include validation, electrical design, PLC programming, digitization, and development of MES solutions. Projects vary in length – some extend over longer periods at the same location, while others are shorter.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

As an automation engineer at AFRY, you will primarily work within the Life Science industry, with projects that ensure high quality and efficiency in automated production processes. Your responsibilities include:

Programming of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
Troubleshooting and optimization of automation solutions
Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automated systems
Contributing to calculations and quotation work

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Has a technical education in automation, mechatronics, or a similar field
Has work experience in designing automation solutions for both hardware and software
Has experience in PLC programming
Is solution-oriented and flexible with a good ability to quickly understand new systems and working methods
Has a B driver's license and is comfortable traveling for work
Is fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing

It is an advantage if you have experience working in the pharmaceutical industry, for example as a technician or in maintenance. Knowledge can be acquired through education, experience, or being self-taught.
