The Role – Manager Mechanical Design

We are looking for a Manager Mechanical Design who is in the middle of their career and wants to develop with us in a role where leadership, innovation, and technology are at the center. Here you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects within the Life Science industry and create solutions that truly make a difference.

The role reports to the COO.

Your responsibilities include

• Personnel responsibility for the department regarding work environment, development, recruitment, and salary setting

• Planning resources for projects together with the COO and project managers

• Being part of an experienced project team consisting of designers, project managers, automation engineers, and technicians

• Identifying and evaluating new technology together with the department

• Working with the entire chain in the design work – from concept development to completed machine projects and promoting continuous standardization

• Participating in the preparation of quotation materials and cost calculations, as well as quality assuring hours in calculations

• Having contact points both internally and externally with suppliers and customers

• Working with customer and supplier relationships both locally and internationally

We believe that you are a responsible and ambitious person who

• Has a bachelor's degree in a relevant field

• Has good experience from a team-leading position and has a coaching leadership style

• Has a good ability to prioritize and structure your own and others' work, even in periods of higher workload

• Has the ability to see the whole in a work process as well as the ability to dive into details

• Has excellent collaboration and communication skills and social competence both towards staff, colleagues, and customers

• Has 5+ years of experience in machine design with broad industrial experience and some understanding of automation
