ABOUT THE POSITION:

As a Junior Energy Trader, you will be a central part of daily trading on the spot markets for electricity and gas. Your main responsibilities include:

• Short-term trading for delivery on the current or next day.
• Balancing energy flows by managing balance responsibility and balancing services in Sweden and Denmark.
• Forecasting customer consumption and production, where factors such as weather conditions and market dynamics play a crucial role.

In this role, you will also contribute to the development of digital and automated decision support to improve forecasting, optimization, and trading. Here, you will have the opportunity to use your creativity and technical knowledge to create value and optimize energy supply both nationally and internationally.

The position is located in Malmö and the work involves shifts year-round, including on-call duties at night.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

• Has (or will graduate in June) as a Master of Science in Engineering in Technical Physics, Technical Mathematics, or Industrial Economics with a focus on finance.
• Possesses good knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and data analysis.
• Is comfortable with R, Matlab, Excel, or Python.
• We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment where speed, structure, and analytical ability are crucial, and where collaboration and business acumen are a natural part of the work.
• Is fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, as all documentation is in Swedish.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by us at Friday, but the ambition is for you to eventually be employed by the company.
