JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Skolspåret 27 is a facility consisting of seven apartments targeting neuropsychiatry/psychiatry.
As a support educator, you will have overall responsibility for the educational work within the operations. You will establish working methods and ensure that they are used and developed effectively. Together with the workgroup, you will establish, implement, and follow up on routines, action plans, and activity descriptions. You will ensure that social documentation, implementation plans, and action plans are established, further developed, and followed according to laws and guidelines.
You will play a central role in the quality development of the operations and the systematic improvement work. As a support educator, you will act as support and guide for each individual employee, the workgroup, and also provide support to the manager. You will guide the workgroup based on the needs and methods of the operations.
You will collaborate closely with support assistants in the unit and be part of a network with other educators, collaborating with relatives, guardians, and other key persons to ensure that tenants receive good care, support, and services.
The position also includes receiving delegation according to the Health and Medical Services Act. In addition to your work as a support educator, you will also have regular tasks within the operations.
The working hours are scheduled for daytime and evening shifts as well as every other weekend. We use Time Care Planning for operationally adapted and flexible schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS
For the position of support educator, a post-secondary specialization in the disability area is required, encompassing at least 200 YH credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination thereof corresponding to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
Since there are tenants with a high risk of suicide, experience with comorbidity, self-harm, suicide, as well as threats and violence is required. Experience in care and support work is also required. Communication is an important part of the job, which requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
If you do not meet the qualification requirements for Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the testing user Educateit.
Knowledge and experience of the following methods: LAB (low-arousal approach), AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), Clear Pedagogy, ESL (An Independent Life), IBIC (Individual Needs in Center), MI (Motivational Interviewing). Experience with comorbidity, self-harm, suicide, as well as threats and violence is desirable.
