The Jämtland Gymnasium Federation is responsible for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, and parts of adult education in our member municipalities. The federation's seven schools are located in nature and mountain-adjacent environments spread over five municipalities – Bräcke, Krokom, Ragunda, Åre, and Östersund.

Jämtlands Gymnasium Åre is located in Järpen, the main town of Åre municipality. Our school has students from all over Sweden and the rest of the world, creating a wonderful mix of people and cultures. Description

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications in social studies and sociology for teaching at the upper secondary level.

The position is a permanent employment of 80–100% with a start date to be agreed upon.

Your future tasks

You will teach social studies in our national programs, primarily within the higher education preparatory tracks. Depending on your subject combination, teaching in an additional subject may also be relevant, as well as a mentoring role.

You will be part of the team for the higher education preparatory programs at Jämtlands Gymnasium Åre.

Who are you?

We are looking for a certified upper secondary school teacher who wants to actively contribute to both teaching and school development. You have a good understanding of how learning occurs and a genuine commitment to creating a meaningful school day for students. You collaborate well with both colleagues and students, guardians, and school management. You are confident in working with documentation, assessment, and follow-up, and see digital tools as an obvious part of teaching.
