JOB DESCRIPTION

As a service technician, you will work in our service department maintaining our properties, inventory, and operations. Your primary responsibilities will include annual operations, daily operations with error reporting, preventive maintenance, as well as safety work and feedback.

You will be the foremost competence in property technology within your operational area along with your team. This means you will be responsible for maintenance and support such as fire system checks, lock replacements, machine servicing, property routines, inventory, tool service, operational cooperation, inspections, reuse, and planning contractors.

Your role also includes working with the manager/probation inspector to ensure that the properties maintain a reasonable standard in line with the needs of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, planning and being responsible for specifications and controls, and ensuring that larger projects are carried out by suppliers or in collaboration with our landlord.

You and your team are responsible for the annual inspections at the prison, which means you will plan and conduct self-inspections and assessments. You will act as property support for the staff at the prison and assist all departments with questions in the area.

There are administrative tasks such as handling orders and invoices.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is practically oriented and an initiative-taker who is not afraid to tackle tasks and carry them out effectively. You have a high sense of service, good collaboration skills, are solution-oriented, communicative, and have the ability to see the bigger picture. You work well in a team as well as independently and enjoy working physically and have an interest in carpentry.

As a security technician, you play an important role in the organization, and great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• Completed upper secondary education or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Category B driving license
• Good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written
• Good computer skills

Meritorious:

• Work experience in property management or property service
• References that confirm your practical skills
• Experience in corrections and knowledge of correctional procedures

OTHER

We have high demands on our employees' security and confidentiality awareness. To work with us, you need to undergo a security clearance in accordance with the Security Protection Act. The position is classified in a security class, and a security clearance including a security interview with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. During the security clearance, you will be investigated as a person, your background, and your relationships from a security perspective.
