The VA unit is responsible for ensuring that some of Degerfors Municipality's most important community services function, 24 hours a day, all year round. Drinking water is our most important food.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for someone interested in working with the operational tasks of the VA operations within Degerfors Municipality. We offer you a varied job where you can influence the setup and workflow together with your colleagues. As a pipe network technician, you will work both independently and in close collaboration with your colleagues, and you will be part of a team consisting of seven employees and management. In total, we have 10 full-time employees in the VA unit.

In the role of pipe network technician, you will work with the operation, maintenance, and renewal of the pipeline network and VA facilities.

Your tasks will include:

Supervision, maintenance, and actions on Degerfors Municipality's pipeline network and VA facilities.
Coordination of work with other staff and contractors.
Monitoring and documentation in GIS programs.
Assisting in the daily and long-term planning of work on the pipeline network.
Contact with subscribers, contractors, and clients.
Other tasks related to the VA unit within Degerfors Municipality.

The position includes scheduled on-call duty.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with work experience in operations and maintenance. It is desirable if you have experience in operations and maintenance within pipeline networks and VA facilities. The nature of the position and tasks requires that you have a B driver's license and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Experience with GIS programs, a B driver's license, and a license for a wheel loader are advantageous for the position. Training in PE welding and a diploma in pipe networks are also meritorious. A minimum of a high school diploma is required for the position.

In the role of pipe network technician, you will have many contacts both internally and externally, which requires you to be service-oriented, attentive, and able to communicate well and clearly with colleagues, customers, and the public. You have good problem-solving skills and can see opportunities in changes.
