What Does the Role of Maintenance Technician Involve?

We are looking for a maintenance technician for our surface treatment and packaging process. The position involves working in two shifts with the following working hours: morning week 06:12-14:30 Monday to Friday and afternoon week 14:24-23:18 Monday to Thursday. The role also includes some weekend on-call duty. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure operational reliability through preventive maintenance, but it also includes production support, corrective maintenance, and continuous improvements. The tasks also include the following:

Perform preventive & corrective maintenance.
Production support, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Document completed work according to company procedures and standards.
Actively work on improvements related to maintenance, such as maintenance plans, instructions, spare parts management, etc.
Participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives.
Inventory and order spare parts to ensure critical parts are available.
Schedule and plan both internal and external maintenance activities together with the rest of the team.
Participate in strategic work related to preventive maintenance and spare parts management.
Share knowledge internally within the department and train operators to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their maintenance-related tasks effectively.

What is Required for the Role?

Basic Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Technical education in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Experience in maintenance work within the manufacturing/process industry.
Good knowledge of troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
Ability to work independently and take initiative for improvements.
Collaborate with both the team and other departments in the company.
Knowledge of GMP standards is an advantage.
