About the Position

The Information and Cybersecurity Unit has a tremendous drive to establish a more structured and systematic approach to IT and information security throughout the organization. The current global situation makes it clear that critical societal functions, such as electricity supply, can be a target for adversaries, making our work particularly important and exciting.

Our operations handle sensitive and vital information that, in the wrong hands, can harm the country's electricity supply and Sweden's security. We are now looking for someone who wants to become an important part of our internal and external security work.

You will be part of a team that works daily to improve and further systematize the information security efforts at Svenska kraftnät. The unit belongs to the Security and Preparedness Department, which is responsible for Svenska kraftnät's internal and external security and preparedness work.

The position is primarily based at our headquarters in Stockholm, but can also be placed at our office in Luleå.

Your Responsibilities

As an information security specialist, you will stay updated on current threats and risks and use your knowledge to formulate internal and external requirements.

You will contribute to ensuring that our systems are not hacked and that information does not fall into the wrong hands. You are passionate about cybersecurity and find information security particularly interesting. You will have regular check-ins with your team leader and occasionally participate in various forums related to the organization's challenges with information security.

You will work on developing and implementing policies, rules, and guidelines, as well as other types of security-enhancing efforts. You will contribute your knowledge of information security to the organization's various processes.

Collaboration with authorities, electricity companies, internal government projects, and our contractors is an obvious part of our work. In this position, your knowledge will be broadened in areas such as security protection and electricity preparedness, and you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of information security related to infrastructure and control systems.

About You

Required Qualifications:

We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in information or IT security. Alternatively, you have a vocational training in security/information security, or experiences/qualifications that Svenska kraftnät considers equivalent.

You also have:

at least 3 years of practical and relevant experience in information security
experience working with information security based on relevant standards in the information security field, such as SS-ISO/IEC 27001 and 27002
good ability to communicate and express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience in:

We would like you to have knowledge of legislation in the security protection area or certifications in relevant fields (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CRISC, or CISM). A particular interest in NIS2 and other information security-related regulations is, of course, especially interesting.
