We are looking for a Data Engineer for an authority in Stockholm. 

This is a consulting assignment. 

The position is full-time, and a security clearance is required. 

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The authority responsible for the electricity transmission system must be safe, environmentally friendly, and efficient - today and in the future.  There is extensive work underway to increase digitization to meet the energy transition towards renewable energy, among other things by realizing forecasts and predictive models. The authority needs support from Data Engineers for this work.

The technologies and platforms used include Python, Hadoop, Kafka, Windows PowerShell, SQL databases, and container-based environments (Kubernetes/OpenShift). The work is carried out in agile teams that also include Data Scientists and DevOps engineers.

The authority also wants the consultant to be accustomed to working in teams with project managers, solution architects, system developers, and test leaders.

It may also be relevant to work on other development and implementation projects within the division's areas of activity. You will belong to the IT department for Power Systems & Electricity Market, which is a department within the IT division. Responsibilities

Continuously design and develop data flows/data pipelines in Microsoft SQL Server in the data warehouse • Be responsible for acceptance testing against end-users • In a DevOps team, manage and further develop deliveries to end-users, including our machine learning algorithms, where both historical data and real-time data are included • Create or update system documentation • Collaborate within the team but also with other parts of the organization. • Ongoing management such as handling incidents, where troubleshooting and bug fixing may be included, as well as assisting in the overall IT management of our applications. • Act as scrum master for the agile team, coordinate daily work, and manage the backlog in consultation with the product owner.

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

A degree from a college/university of at least 120 credits/180 ECTS in IT or relevant work experience of at least 5 years in the IT field. At least 5 years of work experience in SQL development. At least 5 years of work experience as a Data Engineer in a larger organization (with at least 250 employees). At least 5 years of documented work experience in an IT organization that applies agile methods (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) as well as experience in agile system development within the framework of these methods. The experience should include active participation in cross-functional teams, continuous delivery, and iterations, as well as collaboration with product owners and development teams. At least 5 years of documented work experience in handling and analyzing large datasets (at least several million data records) and working with integration and management of at least three different data sources, such as databases, APIs, or data warehouses. The experience should include data transformation, quality assurance, and optimization of data processing.

Meritorious

Work experience from at least 1 assignment in the last 8 years within organizations working with power systems.  At least 2 years of work experience in the last 5 years as a scrum master.  Work experience from at least 1 assignment in the last 8 years within Power BI or another BI tool.  Work experience from at least 1 assignment in the last 8 years in organizations in complex environments with high demands on information security.  Work experience from at least 1 assignment in the last 5 years where Visual Studio is used for database projects and worked with DACPAC.  Work experience from at least 1 assignment in the last 5 years where Azure DevOps is used as a tool for DevOps teams.
