JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We at the Adapted Primary School 1 are now seeking a special education teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities.

We are now looking for a special education teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities. In the fall, the school will move into new premises at Högstorps School, giving you a unique opportunity to move in with experienced colleagues.

With us, you will work as a class teacher with the opportunity to enhance students' knowledge development. You will be part of a team responsible for approximately 5 students together with your teaching colleague and student assistants. We work with systematic quality assurance with the child's best interests in focus.

We also have after-school care and short-term supervision. Our students study based on the Adapted Primary School's curricula, where most study subject areas. At the school, there are teachers, a management team, and an experienced faculty who will support you if needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a special education teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities. Even those with experience in similar work but lacking certification are welcome to apply for the position.

Experience working with students with disabilities or in preschool is advantageous.

You have a good approach that helps students towards independence. You find it easy to collaborate and have experience working in teams as well as experience with systematic quality work. Personal suitability is highly valued.

• You also have a conscious thought about your role as an educator and are a clear leader who works systematically based on applicable governing documents and a professional approach. You are well-versed in working with systematic quality assurance.
• You have the ability to create a good working climate with engagement, curiosity, and security in the group, and you see and meet students' different needs based on their varying conditions.
• You stimulate all students to develop, document their results, and inform students and guardians effectively about how learning is progressing.
• You also have a positive attitude, a flexible working style, good collaboration skills, and contribute to the development of both yourself and the organization.
