We are assisting our sister company OMS in recruiting an Automation Electrician for Benteler.

Job Description We are now looking for a service-oriented and solution-focused Automation Electrician to join Benteler's maintenance team, a dedicated and skilled group working with automation, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role is for you who are driven by solving technical problems and have a genuine interest in troubleshooting, automation, and efficiency improvements. PLC programming may also be part of the job responsibilities.

The work is varied and suits those who not only want to tackle technical challenges but also want to be an active problem solver in automation and contribute to efficient operations. You will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team where collaboration and knowledge sharing are key aspects of the work environment.

Examples of job responsibilities: • Troubleshooting and repairing production equipment • Performing preventive maintenance on machines and equipment • Documenting materials, equipment, and updating drawings as needed • Participating in preventive maintenance and technical improvement projects (TPU) • Acting as a contact person for contractors and external suppliers • Following up on emergency call-outs and acting quickly when necessary • Actively contributing to knowledge sharing with colleagues and improvement work within factory processes • Working to optimize processes and support the team for the best possible results

In the maintenance department, work is done in shifts, currently 2-shift, but you need to be prepared to work a 3-shift in the future if the need arises.

Qualifications

To be the right person for the job, you need to have a strong commitment and interest in troubleshooting within automation. We prefer that you have some form of relevant education or experience, but the most important thing is your drive and willingness to learn and develop in the field. You have a great passion for automation, troubleshooting, and efficiency improvements, which makes you see problems as opportunities to improve and optimize processes.

You are service-oriented, self-driven, and flexible, while also being a good team player who thrives in an environment where collaboration and problem-solving go hand in hand. Structured, proactive, and with a strong interest in continuously improving and developing work methods.

Good computer skills and a valid driver's license (B) are required.
