Primary care in Region Jämtland Härjedalen is organizationally part of the Division of Close Care, together with Ambulance Services, Public Dental Care, Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Primary care is organized into 4 local care areas, and since January 2022, primary care and ambulance services have been integrated under good and close care. Each local care area is an economic unit led by a manager. Primary care is also responsible for the region's medical advice, youth clinics, and the local care department Näva, all of which are grant-funded.

The health center has a close collaboration with Lits Health Center and shared unit managers who lead in a joint leadership. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We offer a working environment with a lower number of registered patients per doctor, 1250 patients per doctor, with adjustments for side assignments and lower working hours. As a doctor with us, you are responsible for your own appointment book, as we do not apply fixed visit modules. You thus have the opportunity to control which patients are booked, with the exception of emergency appointments. This gives you greater flexibility to adjust your daily schedule according to your own preferences, including administrative time.

We have regular doctor meetings for one hour per week and training days five days a year. These training days help create a strong community in general medicine in the region. In addition, you are offered a place in an FQ group for training and reflection in a group five days a year. Occasional on-call shifts are included in the work, and we strive for an even distribution of these shifts within the area.

The Primary Care area has the status of a university hospital unit, and teaching, supervision, and training of medical students at Umeå University are part of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a specialist in general medicine. Experience working as a specialist doctor in general medicine is meritorious, but we are also looking for those who will graduate shortly. You are welcome to have experience from primary care, and independent research and supervision are meritorious but not a formal requirement for the position.

We place great importance on personal suitability, especially the ability to collaborate, as collaboration is A and O for us. We have a strong collaboration with Lits Health Center, within the medical group in the local care area of Östersund, and all professions at our health center. You should be self-sufficient, and if you are newly graduated, ask questions and be curious. It is of great importance that you see our patients and come up with continuous improvements that develop our health center and Primary Care.

A valid driver's license is a requirement.

OTHER

Primary care is a healthcare unit within the region's health and medical care administration, where higher education for medical degrees and research is conducted. This means that all applicants must be assessed by the Research and Development manager before any employment. As a result, the application must include the following accompanying documents:

• A structured CV
• Certificate of medical degree from the institution(s) where the doctor completed their basic education. This also applies to doctors trained in other EU countries and outside the EU.
• License certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare
• Specialist competence certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare
• Certificates/documentation of teaching experience and any other pedagogical merits.
• If applicable, a certificate of academic degree, such as Doctor of Medicine or Associate Professor, as well as the date of the dissertation and the title of the thesis.
• Documented supervisor training
• If applicable, a complete updated publication list.
• Any additional documented merit regarding clinical knowledge/experience, clinical development work, leadership experience, and anything else the applicant wishes to highlight as meritorious for the sought position.
