Dedicated Nurse/Pediatric Nurse for Neonatal Department
Are you a dedicated nurse/pediatric nurse who wants to develop, be part of our team, and feel that you always make a difference for the patient? Do you also enjoy emergency work mixed with quieter periods and working with children and their parents? Welcome to our neonatal department!
In the neonatal department, we care for premature infants from gestational week 28 and newborns with illnesses up to about 6 months of age. The length of stay varies from a few hours to several months.
It is important for us that all new employees receive the support they need to feel secure in their professional role and be able to provide our patients with good and safe care. We offer you a long introduction tailored to your previous experiences aimed at making you feel secure when the introduction is complete. After that, you will always work with an experienced colleague.
The neonatal department is part of the pediatric and adolescent medicine area, which also includes outpatient care and wards for children and adolescents up to 18 years, along with daycare and play therapy.
If you want to work at the only hospital in the region with the breadth and variety of work that we can offer - you will thrive in our neonatal department!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nurse in neonatal care, you will design care together with guardians and colleagues based on each child's specific condition and needs. This provides challenging tasks with breadth and variation, as well as good opportunities for professional development. The work is performed in a team with nursing assistants/pediatric nurses and doctors. We offer you an introduction tailored to your previous experiences.
Rotation shifts during the day, evening, and night with work on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays. Newly hired nurses work day and evening during weekdays, weekends, and public holidays but are exempt from night work initially.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with an interest in pediatric care. Experience in neonatal care is not a requirement. You will receive an introduction together with an experienced nurse/pediatric nurse.
It is an advantage if you have a specialist nursing education in health and medical care for children and adolescents or previous experience in neonatal care.
You take initiative and work independently when required, but you are also flexible and good at collaborating. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
OTHER
We would like to see your application as soon as possible! The position may be filled before the application deadline.
As an employee in Region Jämtland Härjedalen, you will have access to training facilities with a gym and various group activities. You will also become a member of the staff association, which offers various discounts and fun activities. We also offer wellness grants!
If you want to know more about the positions or for any specific reason cannot register your information in a public system, you are welcome to contact the unit manager.
Before an employment offer, Region Jämtland Härjedalen will request a background check from the police's suspicion and criminal record register.
We have made our choice of recruitment media and kindly but firmly decline contact with ad sellers or other sellers of recruitment services.
We look forward to your application!
