About the Company

In 1990, Sundlings Sverige AB was founded by Per Sundling. Sundlings operates in the Nordic market and is a producer of popcorn, snacks, cotton candy, and selected premium products for cinemas, arenas, and amusement facilities. Since the beginning, we have been the general agents for Cretors popcorn machines from Chicago. We have successfully created our own heating cabinets, which are now a given for our concession customers.

In 1997, Sundlings Norge AS was established for the Norwegian market. In 2002, we started our own production of popcorn and snacks, and since 2006 we have been located in our modern popcorn factory with offices and warehouses in Lidköping, by the shores of Vänern.

Today, in addition to being market leaders in the Nordic region for cinemas and arenas, we are also an innovative producer of premium products for the grocery trade. In 2020, we celebrated 30 years as a company.

Job Description

As an operational service technician at Sundlings, you will be responsible for the technical service towards our customers in the Nordic region as well as at our production facility in Lidköping. For the Norwegian and Danish markets, Sundlings collaborates with external service partners, and in these cases, you will provide support and guidance.

In the role of service technician, you will play a central role in both preventive and emergency maintenance of our machines and equipment, working closely with your colleagues as well as the production manager and shift leaders. You will also act as technical customer support, handling urgent issues and ensuring they are resolved quickly and efficiently, both via phone and by being on-site with customers.

An important part of your work will also be to coordinate and follow up with external service partners in the Nordic region to ensure that service work is carried out according to plan and of the highest quality. You will be responsible for new installations and training of machine equipment both in the factory in Lidköping and at customer sites throughout Sweden, which means you play a crucial role in ensuring that customers receive a smooth and correct implementation of new equipment.

For work in the factory for the majority of the year, working hours are scheduled in two shifts. During periods of service trips to customers in Sweden, overnight stays in other locations occur from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

The role requires a technical education, for example from an industrial technology or automotive high school. Electrical or automation training, or equivalent competence, is an advantage.

We prefer that you have experience as a service technician or in a similar role, and that you have good knowledge of electrical schematics. You should have a strong technical interest and a good foundational competence in the technical field. Experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry is a significant advantage. To communicate effectively with both Swedish and international suppliers, it is required that you are proficient in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

To thrive in the role, it is important that you are self-driven and have a strong mechanical interest, as well as experience in operationally solving technical challenges. The role involves coordination responsibility among several different stakeholders, which requires you to be stress-resistant and structured in your work, as well as having a good sense of order.

As a representative of Sundlings towards customers, you are expected to be both quality-conscious and service-oriented, with the ability to maintain a high level of service in all situations.
