Kungälv Municipality is undergoing expansive development regarding both new construction and expansion of water and sewage (VA).

The VA Operations Unit is part of the technical operations included in Community Building. Together, we plan, implement, and manage areas and facilities throughout the municipality. We produce our own water in three waterworks, and sewage treatment is carried out both through treatment in three local sewage treatment plants and through transfer pipelines to Ryaverket in Gothenburg.

Job Responsibilities

Within VA Operations, you will work as an operations technician in a unit where operational leaders, process engineers, and operations technicians work with everything from treatment processes and operational optimization to corrective maintenance and inspections focused on sewage treatment plants. You will also assist with material purchases and procurement of VA materials, among other things. In the role of operations technician, you will have many contacts both internally and externally, so you should be easy to collaborate with and service-oriented. Participation in projects may occur as the group's representative.

The position is characterized by responsibility, development, engagement, collaboration, and problem-solving. You will work with our three sewage treatment plants, and the position also means that you will be part of the unit's on-call duty. The position involves a security clearance.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with education in operations technology, environmental technology, or equivalent experience in VA or a similar technical field. You also have 3-5 years of work experience in sewage treatment plants, process industry, and heating plants.

You have a good technical understanding and practical experience working with machines and processes. You should have good computer skills, be structured, flexible, technically interested, and engaged in your tasks. A Class B driver's license is required.

Knowledge in Chemistry and Microbiology.
