Committed Teacher Wanted for the Health and Social Care Program

Are you curious about starting to work at Rudbecksgymnasiet in Örebro Municipality? We have an increasing number of applicants and are expanding our operations in several of our programs. We are now looking for a committed and open-minded teacher who wants to be part of the continued development of the Health and Social Care Program.

About the Position

The Health and Social Care Program is growing and needs another teacher for instruction in health subjects. You will be part of the program's team and will work together with other teachers to further develop the health subjects and the program as a whole.

Examples of Responsibilities:

  • plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in the subjects you are qualified in and use methods and approaches that lead to the best possible achievement of goals
  • mentorship/perform class leader duties
  • support students' social development and upbringing and create a good learning environment
  • stay updated on current research in your field of work
  • know and follow the applicable laws, policies, and routines of the organization
  • work and document in the existing operational systems

About the Workplace

Rudbecksgymnasiet is one of Örebro Municipality's four high schools. The school is centrally located with about 1400 students and around 130 staff, here we prepare and equip our students for the future by making studies varied and reality-based. Rudbecksgymnasiet offers both university and vocational preparatory programs: the Economic Program, Sales and Service Program, International Baccalaureate, Natural Science Program, Social Science Program, and Health and Social Care Program. The school also has the National Gymnasium for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing with both university and vocational preparatory programs.

We are a school that has cross-program projects in which all programs participate, as well as active work around safety-creating activities and a built support organization for students in need of support. We see the benefit of working in teams and view each program as part of a whole. The school has a subject organization that teachers are part of, where professional development and subject development take place. We are now looking for someone who has a good ability to build good relationships with students and colleagues and who wants to contribute to a professional operation to create a knowledge-building, calm, and safe school environment.

Qualifications

We see that you as a teacher with us have a flexible approach to your surroundings, that you are creative and have an easy time building new relationships. You understand and can meet students' different conditions and have the ability to adapt your teaching accordingly. The position requires humility, attentiveness, and flexibility. We expect you to be a team player with your own drive. You are trustworthy in your communication and solution-focused when meeting students, guardians, and colleagues.

You are self-sufficient in your work and the role also requires you to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with students and other staff and to document what the organization requires in writing.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • licensed teacher in health subjects
  • trained nurse or other health education that the employer deems relevant for the position

Meritorious:

  • worked as a nurse in emergency care
  • experience of teaching in the high school's Health and Social Care Program.
  • qualification for teaching in more subjects at the high school level.

Employment form: Permanent employment

Employment rate: 100%

Start date: August 7 or by agreement
