In autumn 2024, JENSEN School Örebro moved to newly renovated premises at Sveaparken. A school with its own sports hall and a large beautiful schoolyard in the best location. We are now looking for an engaged special education teacher to join our leadership team.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who wants to support/teach students with learning difficulties and guide teachers in the work with special educational interventions. In the role of special education teacher, you will work closely with teachers and parents to give each student the opportunity to develop successfully.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Motivate and lead students to good academic results, goal fulfillment, and knowledge development, as well as follow up on students' development, academic results, and attendance.
• Guide staff on special educational issues.
• Teach students individually or in small groups.
• Set goals together with students and maintain regular contact with guardians.
• Actively contribute to the overall development of the school and take responsibility for ensuring that the organization meets its goals.
• Actively work in student health at the school.
• Be a coach in a class.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified special teacher or special educator with professional experience from grades 4-9 in primary school. We wish that you have good knowledge of and experience in teaching students in need of special support. You should be accustomed to working with documentation such as additional adaptations and action programs. You have an engagement and drive beyond the ordinary. You are a clear leader who creates security and is a role model for your students. You teach in an inspiring way and engage with students and their goals through a coaching approach. As a person, you are creative and open to new ideas and perspectives. You have a health-oriented lifestyle.

Employment Form

The position is a permanent full-time position, starting by agreement.
