Substitute Teachers for Norlandia Preschool Arkeologen

We are looking for substitute teachers for our preschool in Karlskoga! With us, you will have the opportunity to work in an inspiring and developing environment with a focus on sustainability, health, and outdoor pedagogy. We are looking for someone who is flexible, engaged, and has a good attitude towards both children and adults.

Job Description for Substitute Teacher:

Your responsibilities:

Substitute in the children's group, support children's learning and development

Actively participate in our daily activities and pedagogical methods

If needed, assist in the kitchen with meal management and meal pedagogy (a big plus if you have experience in kitchen work)

We are looking for someone who:

Is responsible, positive, and has a genuine interest in children and their development

Has experience working with children or is a trained childcare worker (preferable but not required)

Has a flexible approach and can step in when needed

Has experience or is willing to work in the kitchen (preferable)

Personal qualities:

Engaged and responsible with a genuine interest in children's development

Flexible and can quickly adapt to different tasks

Positive, open, and has a good ability to create relationships with both children, parents, and colleagues

Structured and has the ability to work independently when needed

We are looking for someone who is responsible, communicative, and has a positive attitude. If you also have an interest in sustainability and an active lifestyle, that is a big plus!

Job Tasks:

Substitute in the children's group, support children's learning and development through play and educational activities.

Participate in planning and implementing daily activities that promote children's motor, social, and emotional development.

Ensure a safe and stimulating environment for the children, both indoors and outdoors.

Collaborate with colleagues and parents to create a positive and developing environment for the children.

If needed, assist in the kitchen with cooking, serving, and meal pedagogy, as well as ensuring hygiene and safe handling of food.

Actively participate in and promote physical movement through daily activities, such as Norlandiaskuttet.

Support and promote children's independence and responsibility in everyday situations, e.g., during dressing and meals.

Contribute to maintaining a good working environment and a positive, energetic atmosphere at the preschool.

Your tasks will vary depending on needs, but you will always be an important part of our team and contribute to the children's development and well-being.

Qualifications and personal qualities:

Experience working with children, preferably in preschool (preferable)

Relevant education, such as childcare worker or preschool teacher (preferable)

Experience or willingness to work in the kitchen (preferable)

Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Used to working in a team and have an easy time collaborating

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
