About the position

We are now seeking a vocational teacher for the HVAC and Property Management program, specializing in HVAC installation. In your role as a teacher, you will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching while actively supporting and motivating students in their development, both socially and academically.

Examples of tasks:

• teaching vocational subjects
• mentorship
• joint planning and follow-up of teaching, as well as development work of the education
• creating a good learning environment
• staying updated on current research in your field
• being aware of and following the organization's applicable laws, policies, and procedures
• working and documenting in the existing operational systems

About the workplace

Tullängsgymnasiet is a modern technical high school in southern Örebro that has a high attractiveness for young people. We offer education in Construction and Civil Engineering, HVAC, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Technology, Transport, and Computer and Communication Technology. We also have the college preparatory Technology program. The school also has an adapted high school for students with deafness, hearing impairment, or language disorders. Tullängsgymnasiet has approximately 1200 students and about 200 employees.

Tullängsgymnasiet is part of the High School and Labor Market Administration. Here, 1400 employees work in a variety of roles to provide young people and adults in Örebro the same opportunities for education and self-sufficiency. Within the administration, there is expertise in many different areas and operations, which means that you as an employee have great opportunities for professional development in a creative and varied environment.

Qualifications

We expect you as a teacher with us to have a flexible approach to your surroundings, to be creative, and to easily build new relationships. The position requires humility, attentiveness, and flexibility. We expect you to be a team player with your own drive. You are trustworthy in your communication and solution-focused when meeting students, guardians, and colleagues.

You are self-sufficient in your work, and the role also requires you to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with students and other staff, as well as document what the organization requires in writing.

Requirements:

• licensed teacher in vocational subjects within HVAC technology or similar qualifications to teach in high school and/or adult education, or qualified professional experience in relevant areas. Professionally certified.

Desirable:

• knowledge of electrical installation
• proficient in sign language

Teaching license with specified qualifications must be attached to the application, alternatively a qualification-giving diploma that entitles to a license.
