Höglandsförbundet is a municipal federation formed by Aneby, Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. These five municipalities, located in the Småland highlands, value collaboration and know that we are stronger together. By combining our strengths and resources, we can increase competence, better utilize resources, improve quality, and provide better service to our residents. Today, we have a range of different activities that work for the benefit of the entire Höglandet.

One of the activities within Höglandsförbundet is Höglandsgymnasiet. Höglandsgymnasiet has schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. In total, we have about 550 employees working to ensure that our approximately 3000 students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for the future in the workforce or for further studies.

Your New Job

As a school nurse, you will be part of the student health team alongside a counselor, study and career advisor, special educator, and principal. The student health service aims to promote students' learning, development, and health. Your responsibilities include preventive and health-promoting work regarding lifestyle and factors affecting health and illness, as well as responsibility for the medical interventions of the student health service according to the basic program. Together with your colleagues in the student health team, you will support students and teachers. The majority of your position will be at Nifsarpsskolan outside Eksjö. Nifsarpsskolan will be part of Höglandsgymnasiet starting in the summer of 2025. Nifsarpsskolan offers education within the framework of three national vocational programs, focusing on transportation, vehicles, and various types of construction machinery.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training in child and adolescent care, district nursing, open health care, or as a school nurse. Experience in school health care or pediatric medicine is an advantage. You need good IT skills and the ability to communicate effectively in Swedish, both spoken and written. A valid driver's license (B) is required. You will have Eksjö and Nifsarpsskolan as your starting point for your work, but it is part of the assignment to work at our other high schools within Höglandsgymnasiet.

In your daily work, you take responsibility for planning your own tasks and driving them forward. You plan and make well-considered priorities and have a good ability to adapt to changing circumstances. You thrive on working together with your colleagues to jointly develop the operations.

About Us

You will be part of a group with seven other school nurses who work together to develop the role of the school nurse within the framework of the overall student health work at Höglandsgymnasiet. We are in a phase of development and are currently working to deepen collaboration among school nurses at the various school units.

Good to Know

For this position, you must present a valid extract from the police criminal record. This is a prerequisite for employment.
