Currently, the Assistance Unit employs 9 caseworkers who perform authority functions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). In addition to caseworkers, the unit includes a unit manager, fee caseworker, administrator, specialist caseworker, and method developer. The specialist caseworker provides opportunities for guidance and support in daily work. The workgroup cares for each other and has a good community where everyone helps each other.

Job Responsibilities

The current position as a caseworker in the Assistance Unit may involve case management in the area of LSS/Social Psychiatry or the area of Elderly Care. Upon employment, it will be clarified which area the position pertains to.

As a caseworker, you have a holistic perspective and focus on the individual's needs, all investigations are conducted according to the model IBiC, Individual Needs in Center. The job responsibilities mainly consist of investigating, deciding, and following up on the need for interventions according to the Social Services Act. The work includes home visits, participating in/calling for coordinated individual planning, and planning interventions in connection with individuals being discharged from the hospital. An important part of the work is documentation and legal security. You work independently, but also in close collaboration with colleagues, other professionals, and operations both internally and externally. In your daily work, you have good support from colleagues, specialist caseworkers, and the unit manager.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant university education, social worker, social care, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the laws regulating authority functions
  • B driver's license
  • Good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing and be well acquainted with the Swedish language

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience of authority functions within Social Services, especially in the area of LSS
  • Completed courses in social law and legal studies
  • Experience with the operational systems Pulsen Combine and Lifecare
  • Knowledge of the working model IBIC

You find it easy to collaborate, listen, and communicate. In your daily work, you are structured by planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks based on your own and others' set deadlines. You have good collaborative skills and place great importance on providing a good reception, both internally and externally.
