Job Responsibilities

As a personal assistant, you support the individual in their home, based on the user's needs and wishes. The job responsibilities include practical tasks, personal care, medical interventions, leisure activities, and social contacts. You will be the support the user needs to be as involved as possible in all activities and to help ensure they have a good quality of life.

Qualifications

You have completed training from the nursing program, child and leisure program, or a 1-year personal assistance training. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken. The work should be characterized by a pedagogical approach to support the user in maintaining their skills as much as possible. It is important that you feel secure in your professional role and can act professionally. We also expect you to be social, attentive, and proactive in activities with the user. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

The work as a personal assistant requires good physical condition in terms of strength, endurance, and mobility. Since the job requires documentation, it is desirable that you have good computer skills. We also prefer that you have a B driver's license and access to a car.

More About the Positions

This is a permanent position with an employment rate of 80.67%, with working hours scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. Start date by agreement. Recruitment will be ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Full-time employment may be offered. You will primarily work in this case but may need to work in other cases/activities where there is a need. This requires that you can travel by your own car to the temporary workplace. Travel compensation will be provided according to the agreement for work-related travel.

The User:

The user is an elderly woman in a wheelchair who needs help with all her daily living activities. She resides in central Piteå, and much of the working time is double-staffed. You who work here need to be a woman, flexible, calm, and possess good collaboration skills.
