What do we offer
At Volvo Car Torslanda, you are part of a dedicated team in a global network that ensures the cars we build meet the highest demands from our customers. In our repair workshops in Torslanda, we work with smart, clean and flexible production technologies – focusing on people and continuous improvement. Within the department, we have three repair units and are now starting a fourth, focusing on internally repairing the equipment we have in our operations. If you want to achieve your personal goals together with others, then Volvo Car Torslanda is the place where you can succeed.
Your tasks and responsibilities
As a Maintenance Technician in one of our repair workshops, you will work to ensure the operational reliability of production equipment through repairs after preventive and corrective maintenance has been performed. The role also includes investigation assignments regarding technical disturbances as well as carrying out modifications and improvements in production equipment. The work also involves documentation of drawings, work descriptions, and cost calculations. The position is daytime-based.
You and your skills
We prefer that you have a 3-year secondary education with a technical focus in electrical, mechanical, automation or equivalent. Previous experience in maintenance work involving electrical, mechanical, automation or good PC skills in both software and hardware areas is an advantage. If you have a strong interest and knowledge in several technical areas, it is also beneficial for this role. Experience from the process industry and the maintenance system Maximo is highly meritorious. The work requires good knowledge of English and Swedish in both spoken and written form.
We place great emphasis on you as a person. You work just as well independently as in a team, and you understand that good collaboration is crucial for driving work forward. We prefer that you care about a joyful and motivating work climate where you show both respect and trust to your colleagues. You enjoy solving problems and have good analytical skills. The work is event-driven and places high demands on flexibility, so to thrive in the role, you need to be open to change and accustomed to prioritizing. You set high standards for quality and apply a structured working method with a pronounced safety mindset.
