Johannisberg Youth Home Unit Kalix (Grytnässkolan) is looking for a teacher in Swedish as a second language

SIS Youth Home Johannisberg consists of two units, one in Kalix and one in Boden/Sävast. In Kalix, the mission is to implement closed youth care for adolescents of high school age and in Boden/Sävast, compulsory care for children of primary school age.

The school within SiS is governed by the same laws and regulations as the rest of the educational world and is very important for the future of the cared-for youth. Therefore, SiS in general and Johannisberg in particular invests in developing the educational activities. The school at Johannisberg is central to the operation, and education is considered the best protective factor for the youth. Interest in studies among our students has increased significantly in recent years, and we are meeting this by, among other things, expanding our teaching staff. We teach both at the primary school level and in the common subjects for high school.

The students at Grytnässkolan are taught according to their individual study plans developed by our study and career counselor and the student. Teaching always takes place in departments and in small groups or individually. You plan and schedule the teaching to suit the students. As a teacher, you have both the time and opportunity to meet the students where they are and provide the support and help they need. Teaching is conducted in new, fresh, and modern premises. The working environment for the youth and teachers is characterized by a focus on studies.

Qualifications

We are looking for a high school teacher or primary school teacher in Swedish/SVA for teaching at the primary school level and on IM. The employment rate is 100%. In addition to formal qualifications, you should be flexible and have broad social competence. We also see that you are a good and secure role model for our youth. Therefore, we place great importance on personal suitability. Important is good collaboration skills with other professional groups to achieve a holistic approach in treatment/education.

Employment:

The position is a permanent part-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis.
