Alvik School is a F-6 school located about 25 kilometers outside Luleå in the village of Alvik. Our vision is "All children should feel seen and understood and develop according to their abilities in a safe and accessible learning environment." JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As two of our leisure educators are retiring, we are looking for engaged leisure educators/teachers in after-school care or someone with equivalent education for our after-school care. With us, you have great opportunities to contribute to the development of the leisure activities. At Alvik School, we work to create a good environment for all our students. All our students should have joy and enthusiasm for their learning, and they should thrive, develop, and feel safe in their school environment. The position as a leisure educator at Alvik School involves working with student groups during the day and in after-school care in the afternoons. Break activities may be included in the assignment. The position entails responsibility for conducting after-school care activities, which includes planning and following up on the activities, both individually and together with your work team.

The goal for the leisure activities is to create an environment that promotes safety, social awareness, and independence. Students are offered a meaningful leisure time that supports their development and encourages them to take their own initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a leisure educator degree or a teaching degree with a focus on after-school care. Individuals with other pedagogical university education may also be considered for the position. No experience is required, but previous experience in leisure activities or school is desirable, and you should be familiar with the after-school care curriculum.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks, you place great importance on quality. You enjoy collaborating and creating good relationships with both children and adults. Providing good service comes naturally to you and is always something you strive for. Since much of the work is conducted outdoors, it is an advantage to enjoy outdoor life.
