Job Responsibilities

As a school nurse, you will be part of the central Student Health team, placed at one or more of the city's municipal schools in Helsingborg.

The goal of the school nurse's efforts is to promote and support students' learning, development, and health, as well as to prevent ill health so that students achieve their educational goals.

The work involves monitoring the health, well-being, and development of students. The school nurse offers all students health visits, health conversations, and vaccinations according to national vaccination programs for children. Health visits include assessing the student's general health status, mental well-being, growth, development, and learning, as well as screening for vision, hearing, and back.

As a school nurse, you contribute medical and nursing expertise to support the student health work. In collaboration with students, guardians, and other school staff, you work to provide students with knowledge about healthy lifestyles and factors that contribute to health or ill health.

We use the ProReNata journal system.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse with specialist training as a pediatric nurse, district nurse, or school nurse.

If you have previously worked as a school nurse or have experience in health promotion work with children and youth, we see this as very positive.

You enjoy working both independently and together with colleagues, educational staff, and guardians. You build good relationships based on the best interests of students and are passionate about young people's health and well-being!
