JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a sports worker, you will be a key player in making our sports facilities safe and inspiring meeting places for people of all ages and backgrounds. You will work in a varied role where no day is the same, and you will be the face of the sports hall unit, where your approach is crucial for visitors' experiences. With a focus on both quality and service, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that the facilities are clean and well-maintained
  • Providing a warm and professional welcome that creates positive experiences for our guests
  • Contributing to safety and security in our premises
  • Developing the operations and strengthening collaboration with district administrations and other stakeholders
  • Handling simpler administrative tasks and contributing to efficient work processes

Working hours vary, and you will follow a schedule that includes daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. You will primarily meet school classes during the day and associations during evenings and weekends.

The position is intended to be based at Lundenhallen or Lundbyskolan's sports hall, but placement at another sports hall in Gothenburg may also be relevant.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is positive, engaged, and has a strong drive to deliver high quality in your work. You want to contribute to making our facilities feel safe and welcoming for everyone who visits them. With the ability to work independently and take initiative, you are someone who takes responsibility and gets things done. You enjoy keeping things clean and tidy and have an eye for details that ensure a pleasant environment. Additionally, you have good communication skills and treat everyone with a friendly tone and respect, contributing to a positive experience for both colleagues and visitors.

Formal qualifications required:

  • High school education
  • Driver's license B
  • Experience and good knowledge in service work

Formal qualifications that are meritorious:

  • Experience working with children and youth
  • Experience from multicultural work environments
  • Background in sports or associations
  • Education in sports, associations, or youth activities
  • Multilingualism
