At Kava/ENT, we primarily care for patients with acute surgical diseases. The most common reasons for admission are various abdominal diagnoses, bleeding, and trauma. Acute nursing also involves pre- and post-operative care. We also care for a smaller patient group within the ear, nose, and throat specialty. We receive patients at all hours of the day and most patients are admitted via the emergency department.

Kava/ENT is currently under development, and our vision is to eventually have the capacity to open up to 18 to 22 beds. It is a challenging but educational environment where the team around the patient works together towards a common goal. With us, doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and other important professions work together to provide safe care of the highest quality. We are now looking for a driven nursing leader who can be a key player in this initiative.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing leader with us, we offer you a developing role where you can contribute your expertise for the benefit of the patient by supporting and guiding the nursing staff. You will work both closely with patients in the clinical setting and educate and guide other staff.

In your role as a nursing leader, you act as a mentor and pedagogical support for the nursing staff in their daily clinical work. You guide, educate, teach, and provide feedback in nursing situations. Additionally, you identify areas for development in nursing and support the creation of new routines, guidelines, and working methods, ensuring adherence to these. In your work, you are a role model for colleagues and inspire in patient-centered care for safe and secure nursing. We highly value that you clarify the goals of the operations and work towards increased patient safety.

You report to the unit manager and assist them in the competence development of nursing staff as well as quality assurance and development of the unit's nursing work. The nursing leader role is combined with clinical nursing work with individual patient responsibility based on the needs of the operations. Evening, night, and weekend shifts are part of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with the authority to practice in Swedish healthcare and who has several years of clinical experience in emergency care. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale are a requirement for the position.

It is meritorious if you are a specialist-trained nurse in surgery, emergency care, and/or have specialist knowledge in the ear area, as well as if you have a master's degree in nursing. Previous experience in nursing leadership and quality assurance of nursing work is also meritorious. We also see it as advantageous if you have supervisor training in healthcare and if you are well acquainted with clinical knowledge and the application of evidence-based nursing practice.

As a person, you are goal-oriented, structured, and quality-conscious. You create engagement in the workgroup through participation and continuous learning. We also see that you have an easy time creating and maintaining cross-professional relationships and that you are attentive and communicate in a clear, pedagogical manner. Furthermore, you have a good ability to switch between independent work and teamwork, depending on the needs of the operations. You have a genuine interest in developing care, always with the patient in focus. We are keen to find the right person for the position and therefore place great importance on personal suitability.
