As a Traffic and Capacity Analyst with us, you will play an important role in analyzing and developing traffic and capacity solutions within the infrastructure sector. You will work on optimizing traffic flows, developing forecasts and action proposals, as well as providing expert support in various assignments.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting capacity analyses to optimize traffic flows and the utilization of infrastructure.
• Early investigations and strategic infrastructure planning.
• Working with traffic principles.
• Acting as expert support in traffic and capacity issues and contributing specialist knowledge in projects and investigations.
• Developing traffic forecasts as a basis for strategic decisions.
• Identifying and proposing measures to improve capacity and accessibility.
• Leading and participating in both larger and smaller meetings and presenting analyses and recommendations to various stakeholders.
• Building and maintaining collaboration with relevant actors in traffic and capacity planning.

About you

We are looking for someone who has strategic thinking and can see the long-term consequences of decisions. With a good ability to analyze the current situation, evaluate different approaches, and foresee future needs, you can plan and structure activities that effectively drive work forward. As a person, you are also self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and push your processes forward, even in situations without clear guidelines. You are communicative and express yourself clearly in both speech and writing, adapting your communication to the recipient and ensuring that the message gets through. Your analytical ability allows you to quickly break down complex problems, see connections, and prioritize the right issues.

Qualifications

Mandatory requirements

• University or college degree in engineering or economics, or equivalent education/experience deemed comparable.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in railway technology, transport systems, or traffic planning, for example from consulting, the Transport Administration, or regions.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Desirable qualifications

• Experience with reference assignments such as railway planning, system documentation, needs analysis, functional investigation, feasibility study, or action choice study.
• Competence in Railsys or other traffic simulation programs.

Location and other information

We offer a permanent position at SYSTRA AB, starting by agreement. You will have your base at one of our offices in Sweden, but we also offer the flexibility to work remotely a few days a week. Travel in the service may occur.
