Your Role

Are you an experienced CAM preparer or NC operator with a good habit of creating your own NC programs both online and offline? Do you enjoy working at the intersection of product and production? Do you want to be part of developing tomorrow's production systems?

In your role as an NC programmer, you will work on developing production documentation for our NC-controlled manufacturing equipment in turning and milling. In addition to NC programming, you will also work with machining methods and fixture methods. Calculation work may also occur. The materials to be processed are primarily composite materials with carbon fiber or fiberglass.

You will be part of Production Engineering Preparation Malmslätt, which is responsible for Saab Dynamics' preparation and industrialization in composite manufacturing.

The team has extensive knowledge in various areas that complement each other. You will continuously work on standardization and method development to stay at the forefront of our cutting machining.

You will be offered a varied job with a lot of personal responsibility. As a CAM preparer, you will have a dialogue with production engineers, designers, tool designers, and operators to ensure that NC programs, machining, and fixtures promote efficient production work.

The location for this position is Saab Dynamics in Malmslätt.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with previous experience in production technology or workshop experience related to machining.

You have a technical education and a good production technical competence. The work as an NC programmer means that you must collaborate with the design department, workshop, and other departments within Saab. Therefore, you should be outgoing, driven, and used to taking your own initiatives. Good language skills in English and good computer skills are required.

Other desirable qualifications:

• Broad workshop education or workshop experience preferably from NC-controlled manufacturing.
• Workshop education/experience in other workshop sections is an advantage.
• Good product knowledge.
• Knowledge of Catia and Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM systems is an advantage.
• Experience in NC programming.
• Experience in machining composite materials.

As a person, you are driven, good at communicating, and have a desire to constantly improve. You can juggle many tasks and are not afraid of new challenges. We are looking for someone with a technical interest, who is meticulous and has experience in mechanical design. You are solution-oriented, self-driven, and curious about new technology while enjoying collaborating with others.
