The department belongs to the Specialized Medicine 2 operational area. Here, patients with diseases of the respiratory system and gastrointestinal tract, as well as patients with liver diseases, are cared for. It is an exciting department where our employees get variety and breadth by working with both lung and gastrointestinal patients. In the lung department, patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or lung cancer are primarily cared for. In the gastrointestinal department, patients with symptoms and diseases within the gastrointestinal tract and liver diseases are treated. We are a department with a good working climate where we care for each other and create good collaborations together.

We continuously work with development and improvement efforts, always with patient safety in focus. The operation provides high-tech care, and as a nurse, you have the opportunity to learn advanced medical technology equipment. Our department is located in fresh, newly renovated premises with single rooms for all our patients. A total of about 50 employees with different professions work here.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In our department, we work based on a person-centered approach and place great emphasis on good nursing care. We take pride in our work and collaborate well in our teams. You will perform common tasks as a nurse but also care for patients who require advanced medical technology equipment. The team you collaborate with consists of doctors, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and pharmacists. We also have a nursing assistant who works full-time with operations and discharge planning in Mina planer from Monday to Friday.

When you start with us, you will receive an introductory period, support in everyday life from mentors and colleagues, as well as good development opportunities within two exciting specialties. Our two nursing leaders are also available to provide you with support and coaching in daily work and care.

We value professional development and regularly hold training sessions in the department to collectively increase our knowledge and reflect. After a while at the workplace, there is an opportunity to participate in internal training to obtain delegations for the equipment that requires it.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare and with language skills in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. If you have previous experience working in respiratory care, gastrointestinal care, and/or emergency care, we consider this an advantage.
