About the Job

Your task will be to help the client achieve a functional and valuable everyday life. It is important that you can work independently and take responsibility. You must be attentive to the client's needs, and we prefer that you have previous experience working with children in preschool/primary school age.

You should be creative and resourceful and enjoy outdoor activities. You should have good physical fitness and be strong, as lifting and transfers occur frequently.

Working Hours

On weekdays, our client attends preschool, so we are looking for someone who can work during the following hours:

• Weekdays 14:00-18:30
• Every other weekend 07:30-18:30

And be available for extra shifts during holidays and weekends.

About the Client

Our client is a nearly 7-year-old boy with a physical/cognitive disability who needs your help to do as much as possible of what a child his age normally does. He loves being outdoors, is very social, and enjoys going to cafes or visiting others.

Our client needs someone who can focus on his needs; he wants you to sing together and read books, and we hope you have suggestions for new activities he can try and learn.

Job Responsibilities

The job duties are very varied and include:

• Assistance during meal times
• Personal care
• Helping with leisure activities and engagement
• Transfers

Qualifications

• Experience with both physical and cognitive disabilities
• Experience working with children in preschool/primary school age
• Experience with Podsystem/Image register
• Experience in educational work.

Requirements

• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
• No pet allergies
• Driver's license if you do not live in Östhammar
• Non-smoker

Personal suitability and knowledge in pedagogy will weigh the heaviest.
