About Masgården

Masgården is a residence that has been operational for just over a year and a half and currently has 7 clients. The residence is aimed at adults between the ages of 21 and 60 with psychiatric issues combined with previous criminality, substance abuse, and/or other social problems. The facility has ten places where clients have access to their own rooms and bathrooms as well as shared communal areas. The residence is intended to serve as a link between forensic psychiatric inpatient care and a more independent living situation in the long term. The purpose of Masgården is to support clients in their daily lives, help them establish good routines, and contribute to a long-term positive change regarding social relationships and living habits.

Masgården is part of the growing Insikten group, which has been operating HVB activities for children and adolescents in Sala, Västmanland for 25 years. The group is constantly evolving, and Masgården represents its first residence aimed at adults. As an employee at Masgården, you will be offered good development opportunities as the group is known for investing in its staff in terms of both training and supervision.

Masgården also has a collective agreement and offers wellness benefits.

About the position

We are now looking for caregivers who want to work extra, but there are also good opportunities for permanent employment. At Masgården, you as a caregiver will have the opportunity to be an important part of the care operation. Your knowledge and personality are highly valued in our team, which, in addition to caregivers, also consists of social workers, nurses, and psychologists.

As a caregiver, you will work with a variety of tasks, making no day the same as the other. The position involves client-facing work where you actively participate in the residents' daily lives and, based on individual implementation plans, support them in their development towards more functional and active lives.

The focus of the work is on creating safety, supporting clients in their daily routines, and making them involved in their own care. Your work will involve activities that enable clients to develop into their best selves, for example, by supporting them in social activities, cooking, property maintenance, and other household chores. You are also an important supportive component in the networking efforts that help clients integrate into society in various ways.

In addition to ongoing care work, you will also participate in Masgården's other routines and tasks. You will observe and document the activities performed and always work with good safety and work environment in focus.

We are looking for someone who...

Sees opportunities where many others see difficulties! We place great importance on personal suitability when building our team and expect you to be stable and secure in yourself. You possess good social skills and have a strong ability to create good relationships with both clients and colleagues.

As a person, you are engaged, unpretentious, and solution-oriented, while also being calm and controlled in demanding situations. You have the ability to set boundaries, both for yourself and for others. You have an open approach and always prioritize the clients' best interests. When things get stressful or during rapid changes, you are flexible and act professionally.

You have previous experience working in psychiatry and/or addiction and feel secure in your role. You enjoy working in a team, have good collaboration skills, and a structured working method that facilitates teamwork.

Since the work will initially focus on the startup of the operation, it is particularly important that you are prepared for tasks to vary significantly from day to day.

Your qualifications

  • You are an educated support educator, caregiver, nursing assistant, treatment assistant, or have equivalent education.
  • You have 5 years of relevant work experience, and it is a merit if you have previously worked in forensic psychiatry, inpatient psychiatric care, or correctional services.
  • If you have training in aggression and violence, this is also a merit.
  • If you have specific skills in hygiene, cooking, purchasing, scheduling/administration, IT, craftsmanship/property, or vehicles, this is a merit.
  • A driver's license (B) is a requirement.
  • Training in CBT, MI, and solution-focused conversation methodology is also a merit. AAC, low-arousal approach, and clarifying pedagogy are also valued.

Personal suitability is of great importance.
