We are about 190 employees divided into a reception unit, six investigation units, a coordination unit for work, administration and service, as well as operational support.

Here, we care about ensuring you feel secure in your role. Therefore, you will receive a thorough introduction, access to experienced colleagues to discuss with, and regular supervision. You have the opportunity to work from home two days a week if and when the tasks allow it.

Financial Support Unit 1 is one of the investigation units – and perhaps your next workplace.

Your mission

Your tasks include supporting individuals to achieve self-sufficiency while investigating and assessing the right to financial assistance. We work in an engaged and unpretentious team where we help each other, share our knowledge, and support one another. Our workdays are varied and involve a lot of contact with both individuals in need of financial assistance and authorities, various care institutions, and the municipality's labor market department.

Your background

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another education that the employer deems relevant for the position. Training in motivational interviewing (MI) is seen as a plus. We prefer candidates with previous experience in financial assistance work or other types of authority exercise. Previous experience in social work is highly meritorious, but most importantly, you have a professional attitude, are curious, and willing to learn and develop together with us. The work requires good oral and written skills in Swedish. You also need to have a good understanding of the Social Services Act. Knowledge of Lifecare is also an advantage.

As a person, you are empathetic and can quickly understand someone else's perspective or situation. You find it easy to make decisions based on available information. Furthermore, you have the ability to prioritize when the pressure is high, think long-term, and maintain structure even when a lot is happening at the same time. The job suits you if you communicate in a way that is both clear and attentive, respecting that each individual absorbs information differently.
