Do you have experience in mechanical design and want to work with technical solutions in a future-oriented industry? We are now looking for a designer for mechanical tools for our client in Västerås, where you will play a key role in the development of innovative tools for the decommissioning of nuclear facilities.

In this role, you will work on developing project-specific tools for the dismantling and handling of radioactive components. You will be an important part of a team driving technological development within the segmentation of complex structures.

Your main tasks include:

• 3D simulations in CAD for cutting and packing materials in containers
• Detail design of manufacturing tools
• Documentation and instructions for technicians using the tools

In addition to operational work, we would like you to contribute new ideas and solutions to improve functionality and efficiency in the work.

You will initially be employed as a consultant at Consensus, but the position will most likely transition to a permanent employment with the client.

To succeed in this role, we believe you are a creative and solution-oriented person with good collaboration skills. You have at least 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design and are motivated to develop innovative solutions in a technically challenging environment.

We are looking for someone who has:

• University degree in engineering or equivalent work experience
• Good knowledge of mechanical design and CAD
• Experience in writing technical documentation
• Ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Experience with ProEngineer/CREO and previous work with custom mechanical tools is a plus.
