About the job as a method developer/chemist:
As a method developer/chemist at Jefferson Wells, working with our client in Västerås, you will play a central role in the quality assurance of laboratory methods and instruments. You will work on improving and developing new and existing measurement methods as well as verifying and validating new instruments and systems. You will also be responsible for commissioning new equipment and training other staff on this. An important part of your job will be to support other chemists in investigating problems related to equipment and methods, as well as conducting investigations and problem-solving with a focus on chemical analyses.
Common tasks include:
- Driving quality assurance of laboratory methods and instruments.
- Improving and developing new and existing measurement methods.
- Verifying and validating new instruments and systems.
- Commissioning new equipment and training staff.
- Supporting chemists in investigating problems related to equipment and methods.
- Conducting investigations and problem-solving with a focus on chemical analyses.
The candidate we are looking for:
At Jefferson Wells, we are looking for someone with a higher education in analytical chemistry or equivalent and at least three years of experience in laboratory work with chemical analyses and analytical instruments. You have experience with management systems and can translate ISO standards into actual methods. It is an advantage if you have experience with several of the laboratory's analytical techniques, instrument maintenance, quality and improvement work, as well as laboratory data systems.
To succeed in this role, you need to have:
- At least three years of laboratory experience in chemical analyses and work with analytical methods and analytical instruments.
- Experience with management systems and ISO standards (e.g., ISO17025, ISO15189, ISO13485, ISO9001).
- Experience with several analytical techniques (e.g., ICP-MS, combustion analysis, wet chemical and physical analyses).
- Experience with instrument maintenance and quality work.
- Knowledge of LIMS, SAP, and Office Suite.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

- Drive to improve and develop the business.
- Ability to implement changes within a group.
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
