The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Sundbo, located outside Fagersta, receives non-school-attending boys with psychosocial issues as well as criminal behavior and substance abuse. We are tasked with providing care for young people with special care needs and accept boys who have been sentenced to closed youth care (LSU).

Job Description

We are now looking for treatment assistants for hourly employment at SiS Youth Home Sundbo.

The goal of your assignment is to motivate our youth to new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you will ensure that the routines in the department function as they should.

You play a significant role in the stability and safety of our youth and/or clients, providing the foundation for daily life, including schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. You contribute to maintaining safety in the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work.

You will work on building good treatment relationships and contribute to ensuring that our youth and/or clients receive the safety and security they need to break old habits.

Together with your team of engaged colleagues, such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

The working hours are according to a schedule, including day, evening, and weekend or night shifts.

As a new hourly employee at SiS Youth Home Sundbo, you will undergo a tailored introductory training to prepare you for your assignment.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, great empathy, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.

You should also have:

• Completed upper secondary education
• Driver's license B
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

• Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or LSS care

Employment:

The position is an hourly employment with a start date according to agreement. You choose when you can take shifts through our booking system.
