We are the cardiology and medicine department at Kullbergska Hospital - a small department in a smaller hospital where a family-like atmosphere prevails. Varied is a word that describes the work on our department! No shift is like another. We help each other and work together for the best of our patients.

Your Responsibilities

In the cardiology and medicine department, we provide care around the clock for patients with medical conditions. Our specialty is patients with various heart diseases where we have the opportunity for telemetry monitoring. With us, you will gain a broad foundation in your practice as a nursing assistant. We receive our patients from the emergency department and from other hospitals, both within the region and from other regions.

As a nursing assistant in the cardiology and medicine department, you will work together with a nurse in a care team responsible for planning and implementing nursing work based on patients' needs. Many of our patients have significant nursing needs, and you who are applying need to have a clear nursing focus. The work is varied, and the pace can change quickly during the shift. To thrive as a nursing assistant with us, you need to enjoy working in a team and in a varied pace. We consider it a given that you meet colleagues, patients, and relatives with care and respect.

As a new nursing assistant with us, you will be offered an individual onboarding of at least four weeks with regular check-ins and training. In addition, we have competency development time every other week with lectures and training.

Your Qualifications

To thrive with us, you prefer a varied work pace where no shift is like another. You are confident, stable, adaptable to different situations, and have good collaboration skills. You plan, organize, and prioritize your workday for the best of the patients.

You have a good empathetic ability, are meticulous, and care about working with quality in a goal-oriented way. You enjoy being part of a multidisciplinary team with a focus on patients, where all professions learn from each other. You are curious, take your own initiatives, and want to be involved in developing the operations.

In addition to your qualifications as a nursing assistant with health and medical care courses 1 and 2 (formerly emergency care), you need a certificate of your professional qualification as a nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on 1/7 2023.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience in hospital care. You have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. We place great emphasis on personal qualities in the selection process.
