Residensskolan covers grades 7-9 and is a middle school with about 200 students. The personal atmosphere is important for students to have the opportunity to grow, develop talents, and interests. The school is located right next to Hermelinsparken in the center of Luleå as part of a rich educational environment in the high school village. The communication to this location is very good. The school's goal is to always develop to maintain a high quality in teaching.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be part of a team and work closely with other teachers who teach both multilingual and non-multilingual students. Your responsibilities include:

• Planning and conducting lessons, assessing students' performance, addressing their developmental needs, and grading students.
• Creating a clear structure and varied teaching tailored to each individual student to provide the best conditions for our students to meet knowledge requirements.
• Viewing documentation and assessment of students' knowledge development as an integral part of your work.
• Having a strong ability for analysis and reflection, constantly developing your teaching. You see yourself as an essential part of creating good conditions for students' learning.

The position includes mentorship for a class together with another teacher at the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a qualified teacher with certification to teach English and German for grades 7-9. You can express yourself well in both spoken and written language. It is an advantage if you have experience and knowledge in working with language and knowledge development, as well as good skills in using digital tools as pedagogical instruments and for communication in learning.

You have the ability to build relationships with students and among students and can create a clear structure and framework to ensure a safe and accessible working environment for students. Furthermore, you have the ability to foster good collaboration with guardians as well as with other professionals inside and outside the school. We place great value on personal suitability.

If you lack a teaching certification, you are still welcome to apply, as there may be opportunities for temporary employment according to the Education Act in certain cases.

Start date: Autumn 2025 or by agreement
