Bergstadens Preschool is located 4 km from the city center and is close to nature. The preschool is organized into age-appropriate groups with currently three open departments for children aged 1-2 years, 2-4 years, and 4-6 years. Each department has three educators. We have a close collaboration between the three municipal preschools in Bergnäset, including common development areas, at least one joint competence and development day per term, and a pedagogical development group consisting of preschool teachers from all three units.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a preschool teacher, you should be well acquainted with our governing documents and be responsible for planning and implementing education and teaching based on set goals. You should ensure that children's learning and our operations are made visible through, among other things, project-based working methods and pedagogical documentation. You should be curious and knowledgeable about children's development and learning and be interested in keeping yourself updated in subjects within the field. You should work independently and together with colleagues on the development of learning environments both indoors and outdoors based on SPSM's accessibility model and the goals and intentions of the curriculum.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• has a university education with the qualification to work in preschool for ages 1-5
• has a license as a preschool teacher
• has experience with project-based working methods, pedagogical documentation, and systematic quality work
• has knowledge in aesthetic learning processes
• is interested in gender issues, outdoor environments/outdoor education, movement, and technology
• sees ICT as a natural part of the work with children and as a tool in systematic quality work.

In your professional role, you are engaged, professional, and proactive. You are curious, responsible, and structured with a good ability to plan and prioritize your work effectively. You are flexible and have good social collaboration skills and are accommodating in your interactions with children, guardians, and colleagues. You have a good ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. You enjoy leading and motivating others and sharing your experiences and knowledge. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

If you have the above qualifications but are waiting for your preschool teacher license, or are at the end of your preschool teacher education, you are still welcome to apply as there may be opportunities for temporary employment according to the Education Act.

If you receive the position, you must present a valid extract from the criminal record.

Probationary employment for a maximum of 6 months may be applicable.

Start date: 2025-06-01 or by agreement
