Your Role

You will be part of Supervision & Development, which is part of the maintenance organization at SAAB, Aeronautics. We are located in Tannefors, Linköping, and our work is divided into different main areas: test rigs, supervision of ground equipment, and destruction of hazardous waste. We build test rigs and various test cells for different types of testing/verification of products/designs, where we later participate in service work in the form of inspections and investigations. We also perform maintenance work on ground equipment that is primarily used in our test rigs within the testing operations and in our production.

Your tasks will include assembly and work in test rigs, as well as assisting and preparing for testing. You will perform routine and emergency maintenance work.

Working hours are normally during the day, but other hours may occur periodically, often in connection with various projects or maintenance stops. Travel for work within and outside Sweden may also occur.

Your Profile

To thrive and succeed in the role, we prioritize social skills and professional behavior highly. We would like you to have experience in assembly work, hydraulics, or electrical work, or alternatively, have a workshop technical or automotive mechanical education. It is a requirement that you have a driver's license with at least B category. The ability to read and understand drawings and instructions in English is necessary for the job. Knowledge of welding and machine work in conventional machine tools such as lathes and milling machines is advantageous as we manufacture individual parts or make adjustments.

As a person, you are solution-oriented and have a strong commitment to the work you perform. Precision, flexibility, and structure are also important qualities for succeeding in this role.

We would like you to have experience in mechanical assembly and be comfortable with both fine mechanics and heavier tools. An interest and understanding of mechanics, such as automotive mechanics or motorsport, is seen as advantageous.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
