Ersta elderly homes are part of Ersta diakoni and operate a total of eight elderly homes in Stockholm and Uppsala. Our goal is to provide our residents with a safe and meaningful everyday life, with activities, community, and good and pleasant meals. With us, everyone should feel at home!

Ersta's Parkinson and elderly home has 36 apartments distributed over three departments, of which 25 are for people with Parkinson's disease. About one-third of those living with us are under 65 years old. The residence is located in the center of Näsbypark with good communication and near beautiful nature.

About the role

In the role of physiotherapist, you will become part of our multidisciplinary team, which besides you consists of nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, and occupational therapists. Together, you will work according to a function-preserving approach.

Your tasks include:

• assessment of mobility, establishment of plans in the Epsilon journal system, and informing and guiding the nursing staff about these
• assessment/prescription/trial and continuous follow-up of prescribed aids
• guide the nursing staff in physiotherapeutic aspects of daily activities
• perform inventory and functional control of medical technical products according to applicable routines
• therapeutic interventions based on your profession
• conduct physical activities both individually and in groups
• weekly team rounds with the respective department
• weekly case rounds together with the rest of the team.

You will have a particularly close collaboration with the residence's occupational therapist and will also be part of a network together with other physiotherapists/physical therapists and occupational therapists at Ersta's elderly homes.

The work is scheduled for weekdays, with the possibility to influence the scheduling of working hours. You will be based in Näsbypark, but interventions at any of our other elderly homes may occur.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is confident in your role as a physiotherapist and who enjoys the role of a specialist. You appreciate sharing your expertise with others and are good at communicating pedagogically.

You have good problem-solving skills and work in a structured manner.

Above all, you have a good attitude towards both residents and colleagues and share Ersta's values of seeing the whole person and our value words; professionalism, trust, and hope.

Your experience

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist
• has at least two years of experience in the profession.

We would like you to have experience working with people with neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease and cognitive impairment.

Other information about the recruitment

The position is 75%. Start as soon as possible, by agreement.

We apply a probationary period as standard.
