About the Workplace

Solängen Elderly Home is a dementia care facility with 40 apartments spread over two floors with four living units.

We have a beautiful garden with pleasant outdoor areas featuring flowers, berry bushes, and fruit trees. Personal interaction is at the center of our work. We operate based on the social administration's values, which include a professional approach characterized by kindness, sensitivity, and humility. The workplace is located near Bålsta center, about a ten-minute walk from the transport center. Direct buses are available to Västerås, Enköping, Uppsala, Märsta, Kista, and Arlanda. SJ and SL have stops at the transport centers. Bålsta is right next to the E18 highway. There is parking available next to the workplace.

Your Responsibilities

With us, you will assist our elderly residents with practical help and provide support in everyday situations based on the individual needs of the residents. This applies to all tasks including care, social interaction, activities, meals, clothing care, etc. We work from a holistic perspective on the elderly, and therefore we collaborate in teams with other professionals such as nurses, occupational and physiotherapists, as well as with relatives and other important people for the elderly.

Social documentation and delegated health care tasks are included in the position.

In your work, you will have the opportunity to experience the joy of contributing to providing elderly individuals with good care and security.

The position is 80%.

Delegated tasks from the nurse, such as medication delegation, wound care, etc., are included.

Qualifications

Care and nursing program or equivalent.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked with people with dementia diagnoses.

Håbo municipality is a Finnish administrative area, so knowledge of the Finnish language may be an advantage.
