Description

The position is centrally located at the Municipal Executive Office, in the Department of Sustainable Development, where you, together with other development leaders, will have overall responsibility for the municipality's joint development work.

Our starting point is Agenda 2030, and we work in collaboration across all sustainability dimensions.

Responsibilities

Examples of responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies and methods to promote public health.
• Based on collaboration agreements, prepare an annual plan and budget, as well as associated follow-up and financial reporting.
• Analyze and make current statistics on the health situation in the municipality accessible.
• Work on follow-up and propose improvements within the municipality's social sustainability efforts, focusing on promoting health and preventing ill health.
• Coordinate and lead projects within public health and be a driving force in various networks.
• Establish and maintain collaborations within the municipality and with external partners, while also having an active dialogue with residents in the area when needed.
• Conduct training and workshops to raise awareness of public health issues.
• Support our elected officials in leading and coordinating public health work at the municipal level, respond to referrals, and write decision-making documents.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree in public health science, social science, or equivalent, as well as documented experience in project management and coordination within public health work. You have analytical skills and experience in handling complex contexts, and you understand the value of accuracy and good structure. You have a good ability to communicate and develop collaborations, which has resulted in trusting relationships with various stakeholders. Your work is characterized by a genuine commitment to improving public health and creating sustainable communities.
