Our vision is for Gothenburg to be an internationally leading education and knowledge city. The Education Administration in Gothenburg operates within municipal upper secondary school, adult education, vocational higher education, adapted upper secondary school, adult education as adapted education, study and career guidance, mother tongue, and school development.

In our work, we have a clear student focus that places knowledge and skills in a context where intrinsic motivation, co-creation, and the desire to learn are important ingredients. We work based on the equal value and rights of all people. Together, we create a work environment where both students and staff are involved and work for each other's success.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lindholmen Technical High School has a mission to conduct and develop education in the industrial technology area for adult students. Lindholmen Technical High School has a long tradition of providing upper secondary education in the mentioned area. Adult education is conducted under the same roof as the upper secondary education programs, and we actively collaborate and cooperate around both forms of education.

We are currently located in new, modern premises with a machine park that very well meets the needs and wishes of the industry. Today, we have about 85 students in the industrial technology program in years 1 to 3, and we expect that within adult education, fully developed, we will have about 90 additional students.

Do you want to make a difference? Driving and developing education in the technology area, which provides students with sought-after competencies, is making a difference. At Lindholmen Technical High School, we are already an actor in the region's skills supply, and our wish now is to do so also within parts of adult education.

Our ambition is for our education to be relevant and to relate to the needs and demands of the professional life and industry. This is so that students can enter a professional life after completing their studies.

Here at Lindholmen Technical High School, you will work in the Industrial Technology Program, which is located in newly built premises with a very modern machine park. You will have the opportunity to become part of our production-oriented program where you, together with your colleagues, design a rich and varied school day and where you challenge and support students in good learning and good study results.

Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching individually and together with colleagues according to the school's governing documents. You will conduct varied and adapted teaching based on the students' needs and current situation, where continuous feedback to your students has a given place. Part of the assignment involves contributing to the development and marketing of the program in collaboration with the rest of the school and the industry.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have competence and experience working with controlled machines in cutting processing, in CAD, and commonly used CAM programs. We also see that you have the competence, experience, and willingness to work with manual machines such as support lathes and conventional milling machines, as well as bench work.

Teacher certification and qualification are desirable but not required. We are looking for someone who has personal competencies and professional skills as a priority and qualification and experience in teaching and teacher qualification as a secondary priority. If you are not an educated qualified teacher, we can offer you a fixed-term employment while you study. A teaching degree is required for permanent employment.

To succeed in the assignment, we believe that you are secure, stable, and have a solution-oriented approach where creativity and curiosity have room. You have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and not only identify problems that arise but are also part of the solution by contributing ideas, alternatives, and flexibility. You communicate and resolve conflicts constructively. You express a positive attitude and act in accordance with decisions made, policies, and guidelines because you see the bigger picture and the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions.

You have good collaboration skills and an understanding that this is a central part of succeeding in the assignment. You also have a desire to drive your own and school-wide projects. You have a commitment and interest in driving development within the Industrial Technology Program, in collaboration with colleagues, industry, and companies in our local environment. We believe that you are outgoing and socially active in professional contexts, where you create and operate in industry-related networks.

Together, we work to create good conditions for your success in the assignment. Welcome with your application for this exciting assignment!
