The role of support assistant with us

With us, children and young people receive support with care, supervision, transfers, activities, and communication. The children/young people use medical, orthopedic, and technical aids. Some interventions are carried out through delegation from a nurse and physiotherapist, such as medication management, nutrition via PEG, and management of respiratory aids.

Your role includes:

Establishing and following implementation plans and routines based on the children's needs
Collaborating with the children and young people's network such as family, school, and healthcare
Using AAC, alternative and augmentative communication
Creating a safe and stimulating environment together with your colleagues

Your profile

As a person, you need to be attentive and feel secure in thinking outside the box as everyday life is guided by the children's daily condition. You adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You are proactive and self-driven in your work as you will have primary responsibility for one of the children during your shift. You are relationship-oriented and have a good approach and the ability to relate to both residents and colleagues and relatives in a sensitive and flexible manner. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

is a trained nursing assistant or has equivalent relevant education for the target group that can be assessed as equivalent

It is meritorious:

if you have experience working with the target group
if you have previously worked with children and young people
if you have experience with alternative and augmentative communication, AAC

Our offer and other information

We offer a permanent position full-time/part-time (75.74%) starting by agreement.

Within the department for Individual & Family Care, all employees within Housing with Special Services and Support at Home are employed full-time but have the opportunity to reduce to the desired employment rate based on the needs of the operation.
