About the workplace

The Pain Clinic is a cross-professional multimodal team at the specialist care level.

The team consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists, and nurses.

As a clinic, we offer a consultation, treatment, and advisory function for responsible physicians as well as for other professional categories within primary and specialist care for patients with complex pain problems, both acute, chronic, and cancer-related. In addition to pharmacological and physical treatment, we work with active pain management in various forms, both individually and in groups. The assignment also includes increasing competence regarding pain and pain treatment in Region Halland.

The Pain Clinic is currently undergoing a development process as we have received an expanded mandate regarding pain treatment.

About the position

We are now looking for a social worker to cover for parental leave. As a social worker, your primary tasks will be to work together with psychologists/psychotherapists to be responsible for psychosocial work and to consider social aspects. You will be part of our team assessments as needed and an integral part of our pain rehabilitation/pain management where we have a clear ACT focus. You are the one who has knowledge of community resources and can guide both patients and referrers. Supportive conversations with both patients and relatives fall within your assignment.

As a social worker, you have an important role in developing the business together with the rest of the team. Together we build an organization and a work environment where every employee is an important part of the whole. You have a say in influencing the outcome.

The position is part-time and working hours are scheduled during weekdays in the daytime. We offer you supervision.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a social worker, with several years of experience in the profession and preferably experience working in a cross-professional team. If you have previous experience meeting patients with pain conditions and experience with ACT, it is valuable.

As a person, you are confident in your professional role and used to working independently. We also see that you are comfortable and enjoy working in a team. You see opportunities as clearly as difficulties, and take initiative and are flexible to reach solutions. You have a good demeanor and can communicate clearly. You are prepared for each workday to be unique and have the ability to independently prioritize and plan your work. You have a curious and positive attitude that can be infectious. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and that you complement the team.
