About the position

As a Data Engineer at Svenska kraftnät, you will be part of a key team driving the organization’s data-driven development forward. You will work with both management and further development of existing systems, ensuring they function optimally and that incidents are handled quickly and smoothly. The assignments vary, from large project orders to smaller adjustments of individual data elements.

Your role includes working both independently and in close collaboration with your team to develop code-based solutions for retrieving, moving, structuring, and processing data. Through effective data management, you will make data available for analysis and optimization, creating insight-driven decisions that strengthen the business both internally and externally. Our data lake, based on Cloudera's platform, manages data flows from source systems to consumers.

There are good opportunities to shape, contribute, and influence both your role and the technological development moving forward. The data platform is and will become an increasingly important component in Svenska kraftnät's investment in the data area.

Your responsibilities also include:

• Monitoring and managing data loads, adjusting and correcting as needed.
• Maintaining and further developing data pipelines and optimizing flows.
• Making data available for analysis and business insights.
• Building code, structuring, and delivering data to different parts of the organization.

You will belong to the Data Analysis and Data Platform unit, which today consists of about 20 employees distributed across several teams with expertise in data analysis, backend and frontend development, as well as IT specialists managing application operations and support for our platforms. The team works cross-functionally together with management leaders and engaged product owners with both management and further development. We have a strong cohesion and a culture of knowledge sharing, where we actively support each other and work together to drive development forward.

We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Furthermore, we see that you have a degree in Engineering, Systems Science, and/or Computer Science or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience that we assess as equivalent. You also have:

• At least 3 years of experience in development within data warehousing, decision support, and SQL.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

We consider it an advantage if you have experience working with:

• Big data solutions based on clusters, e.g., Hadoop/Cloudera.
• Linux, Java, and/or Python.
• Experience with agile working methods and tools.

Additionally, it is positive if you have experience collaborating with infrastructure competencies and a good understanding of IT security.
